## How to Create a New Campaign

Creating a campaign in CAASie only takes a few steps. This guide walks you through naming your campaign, selecting screens, setting budgets and schedules, uploading artwork, and launching your campaign.

### Step 1: Create a New Campaign

There are two ways to start a new campaign:

* Click **New Campaign** from the left-hand navigation menu.
* Open the **Campaigns** page and click the **+** button.

Enter a descriptive campaign name. Using a consistent naming convention makes campaigns much easier to identify later.

**Agency accounts:** You'll also be asked to select the client that owns the campaign.
{% endhint %}

### Step 2: Select Your Screens

This guide uses the **Hand Select** method.

You can optionally search for the city or area and narrow your search by venue type before loading the map.

Once loaded, every available screen connected to the CAASie network will appear.

#### Navigate the map

The map is fully interactive.

You can:

* Click and drag to move around
* Scroll to zoom
* Search by keyword
* Filter by:
  * Venue type
  * Screen orientation
  * Advanced criteria

For example, selecting **Gyms** will display only gym-based screens.

#### Add boards

There are several ways to add screens:

* Click the **+** button beside a screen in the list of screens on the left hand side.
* Click a map pin and select **+** or **"add to selection"** from the board information panel.
* Use the **Polygon Tool** to draw an area and add every screen inside it.

### Step 3: Review Your Board Selection

As you add screens, your **cart** updates automatically.

You'll see:

* Total number of selected boards
* Recommended hourly spend

Open the cart to:

* Review all selected boards
* Sort by relevance or cost
* Remove boards that don't suit your campaign

Removing boards automatically updates the recommended spend.

### Step 4: Configure Your Schedule

By default, campaigns begin on the day they're created, but it's recommended to select a future start date.

Next, choose whether your campaign is:

#### Ongoing

An ongoing campaign:

* Has no end date
* Runs until paused
* Stops when its spend limit is reached (if one is set)

#### Fixed Duration

A fixed duration campaign:

* Starts and ends on specific dates
* Uses your total campaign budget across the selected period

{% hint style="info" %}
This campaign type affects how budgets are managed once the campaign is live. It cannot be changed once the campaign is no longer in draft.
{% endhint %}

#### Set your weekly schedule

Click and drag across the schedule grid to choose the days and hours you want your campaign to run.

If you make a mistake or change your mind, you can either clear the schedule or remove individual time blocks.

As you build your schedule, CAASie displays the total scheduled hours.

### Step 5: Set Your Budget

#### Ongoing campaigns

For ongoing campaigns, you can control spend using:

* Hourly budget
* Daily budget

The hourly budget acts as both:

* Your target delivery rate
* The maximum spend rate

You can either use **Suggest Hourly Pace**, or enter your own budget

Aim for a **Good** or **Excellent** budget score for the best delivery.

#### Spend limits

An ongoing campaign can optionally include a total spend limit.

For example:

* Hourly pace: **$141/hour**
* Spend limit: **$50,000**

The campaign continues until either:

* The spend limit is reached
* You pause the campaign
* Your account runs out of credit

If no spend limit is set, the campaign can continue indefinitely.

#### Fixed duration budgets

If you switch to a fixed duration campaign, the spend limit becomes the **Total Campaign Budget**.

CAASie automatically spreads this budget across your selected dates and schedule.

For most campaigns, it's recommended to leave pacing on **Automatic**.

### Step 6: Upload Your Artwork

Artwork can be uploaded now or later.

If you don't have creative ready, simply skip this step and return later.

Each creative card displays:

* Required resolution
* Accepted file formats
* Video duration (where applicable)
* Number of boards covered by that specification

#### Upload options

You can either:

* Drag and drop a new file
* Select an existing artwork from your gallery

#### Submit for approval

Once artwork has been uploaded or selected, submit it for approval.

The approval process is:

1. Reviewed by CAASie.
2. Sent to the media owner for final approval.

After submission, artwork previews appear on matching specifications. Where possible, CAASie automatically applies compatible artwork across multiple matching specifications.

If no preview is shown, that specification doesn't currently have a suitable artwork assigned.

### Step 7: Review Your Campaign

Before finishing, you'll be presented with a complete campaign summary.

Review:

* Campaign details
* Board selection
* Schedule
* Budget
* Artwork assignments
* Delivery projections

Warnings are displayed for anything that still requires attention.

For example:

* Missing artwork specifications/Incomplete creative coverage

Selecting **Change** beside any section returns you directly to the relevant step.

### Step 8: Generate a Proposal (Optional)

If you'd like to share your campaign before launching it, enable **Generate Proposal**.

You can then:

* Download a PDF proposal
* Share a web link

This is useful for client approvals or internal review.

### Step 9: Finish Creating the Campaign

Once everything looks correct, click **Save & Continue**.

Your campaign dashboard will open.

At this point, your campaign is **not yet live**.

Before it can begin delivering, you'll need to:

* Have all required artwork approved.
* Ensure your account has sufficient credit.
* Set the campaign live.

### Add Campaign Credit

You can top up your account in several places.

The quickest option after creating a campaign is from the campaign overview page.

Alternatively, you can add credit via your **Organisation Billing** settings.
