# Campaign Schedule

### What does a campaign schedule do on CAASie?

The schedule is more than just the times your ads will play. While that is the primary function, CAASie uses this input to calculate the active hours of your campaign — in short, the total hours your ads can play with your selected schedule. These are called 'active hours'.

The active hours metric helps CAASie correctly pace your budget, spending, projections, and play timeframes for your campaign.

It's also important that your scheduled dates and times are compatible when you set up your campaign.

**Example:** If your start date is on a Saturday 1st January and your end date is the Monday 3rd January, your ads won't run if your time blocks are only on Tuesdays in the timetable.

### How do I choose a schedule for my CAASie campaign?

In the campaign creation stage, you need to choose a start date (and end date if desired). Click on the date to bring up the calendar and find the dates you want. You can schedule a campaign up to six months in advance.

You also need to choose the hours you would like your ad to play. This flexibility can help you maximize your budget by following your target customer's daily schedule.

**Example:** Most gym patrons will visit before and after working hours. Targeting specific hours of the day can maximise your budget.

To choose the hours you want to play on each day, click/tap and drag to form a time block in the timetable.

### What is the difference between Fixed and Ongoing campaigns on CAASie?

In the campaign creation stage, you have the option to add an end date to your campaign or leave it ongoing. By default, your campaign will have no end date.

* **Ongoing:** These campaigns do not have an end date. They will keep playing until your campaign's spending limit has been reached. Once reached, your campaign will stop playing.
* **Fixed:** These campaigns have a set end date. Once that end date has been reached, your campaign will stop playing. You can adjust the end date anytime to extend or shorten the campaign's duration.

Both campaign types can be paused and resumed at any time using the pause button in the campaign manager or the toggle on your campaign list.

You can't change a fixed campaign to be ongoing, nor can you swap an ongoing campaign to a fixed duration. If you want to keep all your settings, but change to a different duration type, you can clone your campaign and adjust the schedule type before publishing the new version. Make sure to pause the original if you don't want both to play at the same time.

### How do I change my CAASie campaign schedule?

You can change your scheduled dates and hours in the 'schedule' tab of your campaign manager.

Similar to the creation step, you can click/tap on the dates to open the calendar and create or adjust time blocks on the timetable. Don't forget to save any changes!

### How can I extend a campaign that has finished on CAASie?

* **Fixed Campaigns:** You can change your end date to be in the future at any time. If you do, make sure that you have enough budget to cover the extra time. If your budget is small, your ads will have less opportunity to play. It's recommended to increase your budget when you extend your campaign.
* **Ongoing Campaigns:** These campaigns don't have an end date, so you only need to increase your campaign budget to start your campaign back up again. As long as you have credit in your account, your campaign will continue. Make sure your campaign is not paused.
