Cannabis Advertising Policy (USA)

Cannabis advertising is strictly prohibited outside of the United States of America.

All cannabis advertising must adhere to:

• CAASie’s advertising policy

• Media Owner’s advertising policy

• Local Law and Legislation (may differ from State to State)

When advertising your business through CAASie, you may not:

• Advertise cannabis products, consumable hemp products, equipment or paraphernalia associated with consumption.

• Include images depicting cannabis or hemp leaves, bud or other plant parts.

• Include images depicting smoking, vaping, drinking, eating or other methods for consuming cannabis.

• Include slang terms describing cannabis or consumption of cannabis products.

• Claim health or therapeutic benefits.

• Encourage product movement between states, e.g. interstate delivery.

Your advertisement may:

• Require a PMP deal and/or minimum spend with the Media Owner (contact [e-mail] for more information)

• Be subject to approval by local authorities

• Be re-evaluated according to CAASie’s policy at any time

• Be restricted or prevented from playing on specific screens due to site-level rules that are not visible in the approval status

Your responsibilities:

• Inclusion of licences, permits, etc required by the State

• Age-gating your business website
